Robert Pardoe MRICS

I have been practising as a Land Agent/Chartered Surveyor for over 20 years.  My career began in Shropshire where I was involved in traditional estate management, learning core skills and values which are still important to me today.  Large scale diversification was also a significant part of my work; working with promoters for a pop festival being a more extreme form of alternative income!

Having qualified I moved to County Durham to work for a national firm of Surveyors.  My main role was assisting with the management of the Army Training Estates at Catterick and Warcop; training troops and agriculture can mix successfully.

I moved back to the Borders in 2010 to join a regional firm of surveyors before setting up my own practice in 2012.  Although estate management still forms a significant part of my work I enjoy individual jobs for clients sorting out one off problems, dealing with utility companies or landlord and tenant matters to enhance the long term viability of an estate.

Since setting up on my own I have diversified into Asbestos Management; an area of work that is being scrutinised by ever tightening legislation.
